So I'm confused. Why does the front page tell me we're at around 99,800 but Kevy's post is 100,000? Where are the other 200 posts in the count?

I say this is direct evidence of a moderator plot to censor over 200 posts. Rebellion! I plan on launching a coup in protest. Join me, all posters who abhor censorship!

Until somebody who knows a more technical reason, I speculate that it might be due to User deleted posts (which is something users can do on this board within the same time-frame that you can edit a post). Since posts are assigned numbers as they are created, that would account for part of the difference.

Also, I don't know if posts in the moderator forum are counted in the numbers on the front page.

Or it could just be a vast left-wing conspiracy.

I just logged into MiceChat. My last visit was less than 2 months ago. 140,993 new posts. In 7 weeks. And that's just the non-Gold forums. :eek:

That alone is the reason I just can't hang over there. Sheer volume. I'm muy happy with the moderate level of activity we see here.

Of course, our definition of "moderate level of activity" is always changing.
Case in point, it hasn't even been 2 years here and I've already passed my post count on MP, and that took 3 years and on a much bigger and more active board. My message board use pattern has certainly evolved over the past 6 years.
