Gladys, what a treasure, I hope Ellen does call again.
Ellen needs to travel to do a live interview, no question!

The prank call to Mallory was also hysterical.

Gladys almost made me do the unthinkable, go shopping at QVC

Laughing at old people is fun.

innerSpaceman 01-27-2007 03:32 PM

I think many old people have a certain turn-of-the-phrase that is distinctly humorous, and I believe most of them are aware of this talent.

As I said, laughing at old people is fun.

innerSpaceman 01-27-2007 08:36 PM

Sorry, Alex, but if I thought I was laughing at them, as opposed to with them, my own laughter would lack the requisite lightheardness that allows me to enjoy it.

Or maybe I'm just rationalizing.

Very funny, KB! I both laughed at and with Gladys. She was funny, and she knew it.

I don't know what you were doing and wouldn't begin to presuppose.

But I was laughing at her, because laughing at old people is fun. That's why I was laughing before she said anything funny and it just seemed she was rambling like an old person with her story of the stupid local news people.

By the way, if there some reason I'm missing for you to put half a dozen blank lines and a period at the end of your posts?

tracilicious 01-27-2007 09:45 PM

That was fantastic!

I've been wondering the same thing myself.
