Cripes, I've just discovered that there's such a thing as "acceleration lines"!

Kevy Baby 02-08-2007 01:02 PM

These, I believe, are the red lines?

What is the functionality of the different colored lines?

Blue is normal, red is accelerating (does what it says..accelerates you) and green is purely for decorative purposes (dude goes right through 'em).

If you press 'h' it brings up help, hover over all the different tools and it will tell you lots of good info.

Meanwhile, I've learned where saved files live (at least on Windows) so we can share our creations if we so desire.

c:\documents and settings\[yourusername]\application data\macromedia\flash player\#sharedobjects\[somerandomstringofcharacters]\www.linerider.com\

The file is savedlines.sol. If you happened to just type linerider.com instead of www.linerider.com, it'll be under that. Or if you went to www.official-linerider.com (I don't know why there's a distinction), it's under that.

I suppose I should post mine after saying all that. Just unzip the file and copy it into the directory above (be sure to rename your existing file for safe keeping).

The track called "Whoa That's Big" is, well, big. It tends to lag a little, especially when you first hit play.

These ain't exactly the extravagant masterpieces others have done, but they sure were fun to make.

Thanks for the info!

Though I shouldn't have asked because now I'm gonna end up wasting time messing with this!

How do you load it?

I copied your file into that folder but see now way to load a file.

If you are in the applet, there should be a little save icon. Click that and a window should pop up with my tracks listed.

Nope.

Alex 02-08-2007 09:02 PM

Ok, got it working.

I had to delete the save file it automatically creates when you access the site, close my browser, and then copy in your file before reopening the browser and going back to the site.

Ghoulish Delight 02-08-2007 10:40 PM

Hmm, it didn't seem to be that picky when I tried it, but I may have had the browser closed when I replaced the existing file.

So, are you now cowering before my Linerider prowess?
