My expectations, that the park will hit capacity around noon, there will be no need to stand in line at 3 AM, but folks should get there in the morning.
There will be a press event, but it will be smaller than the big event being held May 5th. That there is about a 50% chance of them getting Space Mountain open for the 17th. That it will be a good day to avoid rides and just people watch. (Maybe get on one or two original rides for historical purposes.) Bring a "Grey Goose" water bottle, since once you get in Disneyland, you won't be able to leave without being locked out due to capacity issues. Get there early, and stock a locker or two. To get a good seat for the fireworks, you will have to grab it mid-afternoon. It will be wild, but also fun.... |
Wow, I really think Darkbeer nailed some good points. Especially about not being able to leave. Hmm.

Yeah he does!!
I happen to love the Grey Goose water bottle suggestion it gave me the giggles! :) |
Just booked our room at the Park Inn for July 15-18. (!!!!!!!!!!!!! <- not doing a great job at hiding my excitement)

For some reason, when I read the Grey Goose water bottle suggestion, I immediately thought of the Galloping Goose

I've kinda been figuring on the full capacity thing.....In my head I guess I've been planning to stay in the gates if it happens. Drinking be damned. I'm a geek first and foremost.
I happen to knew from firsthand experience that Grey Goose and sour apple mix make excellent appletinis. Grey Goose and cosmo mix make even better cosmos. I'm not above mixing martinis in the locker room, people. Who's with me? Oh. Just dsnylndmom? Shocker. :p |
