I'd go with you :) Idaho's a bit far away though. Maybe we can do the movie at the same time, is that close enough?

I'll be seeing it because I LOVE William Joyce. His illustrations are just lovely. Madz wouldn't let me read Dinasour Bob anymore when she was a kid because I liked it too much. He is also behind Rollie Polie Olie which was the only kid cartoon Madz loved that I loved too.

No, I'd go-- though I have to be assembling my invites for much of that weekend (here's hopin' I have more than ~2 hours to be at the meet on Sunday...)

I'll be seeing it next Monday.

Every morning I ride a shuttle that also serves the Pixar Studio and every morning I have resisted the urge to shout out "does anybody have thoughts on the future of Walt Disney Feature Animation as a separate unit from Pixar?"

Oh, I'd love to be there for that!!

I heard this was another one that Lasseter supposedly helped save and is better than it's advertised to be. All I know is, the trailer doesn't intrigue me at all. The Disneyland references seem to me to be "hey, this will get 'em in the theater!"

You didn't miss anything - we haven't talked about it, at least, I know I haven't - but I'm not surprised at the reactions here.

Well, for those interested, here is some backgorund info on the 3D part of the movie. It was the first "Disney 3D" movie scripted to be so from the start. I guess Chicken Little was made 3D after it had been scripted or something.

Deeper into Meet The Robinsons 3D

And here is the official website that also plays the trailer:

Meet The Robinsons Website

It does look promissing to me. I'll give it a shot, no matter what Alex says ;) .

Just kidding, Alex. I do repect your opinon. It helps me go in with a certain expectation that helps me not be dissapointed.

Wow, I couldn't get through it. (I haven't heard the R. Kelly epic this is parodying, but is it really this monotonous?) About six minutes in, I had to bail. Oh well, I still love Al.

flippyshark 03-20-2007 07:54 AM

Holy cow, how did I manage to post this reply to the wrong thread?! The above was supposed to be in response to the Weird Al video. sorry gang.
