Depending on when we get out of Universal, Rose and I *might* take the red line to Hollywood/Highland and say hi to our tattoo artists.

I've done some WeHo "research" and there are no Bearish digs, per se. There's Asians at The Rage, a slightly more leather bent at The Motherlode (where drinks are reportedly cheaper and stronger), and your basic Club Kids at The Abbey, the Factory, and Micky's (clubs) and Eleven, EastWest and Here (bars).

Heheh, how can we not check out a place called Micky's? Plus it's open till 4am and reputed to have hot stripdancers? How can you resist, Chris???

I should be at Universal in the mid afternoon (gonna escape work. Shhhh) If anyone needs a ride home because of "public transportaion" the Bornieomobile is available.

Mickey's??? I don't even wanna know...

"Stripdancer" sounds like a word my Grandma would use.

innerSpaceman 04-05-2007 07:38 PM

But would she mean naked young men with chisled bods and bulging packages?

mousepod 04-05-2007 08:15 PM

Not sure. Next time we get a ouija board, I'll ask her.

Ugggghhhhh Mickys is horrible. Avoid it at all costs!

A fun place to eat would be Marix (which is near Al's apartment) or there's tons of places further into boystown on Santa Monica Blvd where there's plenty of eye candy. There's a nice restaurant called Obar on SMB (VERY VERY "LA") but it's a $20 entree-range restaurant... interesting food tho and good drinks.

And of course there's always the Scabbey if you want to check out the beautiful people in an intimate setting. Intimate, because there are so many people that you can hardly move! "Here" has dyke nite tomorrow I think? The Mother Lode has good (cheap) drinks and Fubar (a bit down SMB) can be fun too, depending on who is DJing.

Of course, there's also the twink/latino dance places -- Arena, etc. which are over by Santa Monica and Cahuenga.

If you wanted to play on the straight LA scene for a bit, the Bar Marmont (Sunset and Crescent Heights) makes AMAZING martinis (and has good food too, very swankified) and the Standard Hotel (Sunset and Sweetzer..... that's where the Sex and the City girls stayed when they went to LA) usually has something fun going on (both are on the Sunset Strip).

The more "bear"-ish type places are in Silverlake - Akbar is a dive (but fun) and there's a few other places I could ask around about if we really wanted to do that scene.

I'm not sure if I can do a long nite out in weho since I am totally under the weather today (just took some theraflu, yuck) but I would like to join y'all for dinner at least. I'll be calling y'all tomorrow on your cells so keep them on!!! :)

Wow, with all that great WeHo knowledge, maybe you can help us with the most important thing ...

.... how can we find a place to park??

Y'all know I only packed shorts for this trip.

Do any of these places require long trousers ?

Oh for God's Sake, Man ... put some pants on!

(someone's had a very storybook idea of California weather. Enjoy San Francisco, my friend)
