Snow, we have at least two copies of every HP book- none of us can wait for the other to finish.

Prediction as to the last paragraph:

The flames blinded Ron and Hermione as Harry and Voldemort fell into the abyss. Suddenly, Snape appeared and . . .

"Whoa, what a crazy dream."

Bowing to peer pressure, I feel myself yearning to read books 5 and 6 over the 4th holiday......

I just finished book 3... I need to get a copy of 4 and 5 ASAP so I am read up to where I need to be before I see it!

crap. I need to find the first 6. They are somewhere in the bottomless pit called Spare Room. Luckily, I am a fast reader and it should take me less than a week to get through them all (also I can read at work when it is slow).

I'm with CP, in that I didn't like the last two books. In fact, I thought the last book was so bad, I'm mostly going to read the new book simply because it's the last one.

Any other such poor entry in a series as Half Blood Prince would have me turning my back on any later releases.

Hmmm, and I never "catch-up" by reading the prior books again ... but often the new book will inspire me to read a few of the old ones.

I'm more looking forward to the movie.

We've had our tickets for the 11th for several weeks now.:D

Order of the Pheonix was probably my favorite book of the series. HBP left me very blah. It just didn't seem very put together and was hard to follow everything going on. She was trying too hard to get an emotional reaction from her readers and it didn't work.
