OK -- did anyone watch E & want to strangle Star Jones?

So it might only be me, but I really didn't care about most of what she had to say...

However, the Oscars are actually quite good this year. Chris Rock elicited a number of laughs from me, so I figure that's a good sign.. Hehehe.. :) Plus Morgan Freeman won. That's always a good thing.

What a classy acceptance speech. Way to go, Morgan! :) Yay!!

Ummmmm.....YES!!! If you're ever bored or sad and need a good laugh. Read the Star Jones Reynolds thread at FameTracker.com. It really is "laugh out loud" hilarious! :D

OK -- anyone else think that it's really weird what they're doing with the non-acting awards? For art direction, they had them lined up on stage.. For make-up, the acceptances were done in the aisle....

Yeah, it kinda had a "your not as important as" feel to it, to me anyway.

No, but I don't need "E" for that. There's such a gracious plenty of reasons already.

I hate the "go to them in the audience" awards. Bleh. They should have them all on stage like the art direction noms if they don't want to wait for them to walk to the stage.

And what's up with Beyonce's eye make-up?! Bleh.

:D

Sucks - let these folks get on stage, sheesh the syudios will milk that oscar for all it's woth in the coming days, it's the least they could do.

It seems that past nominees w/o a win are winning tonight. That's great. Cate Blanchett is wonderful. I haven't seen 'Aviator' but I love her.

Edna Mode was great!

:)

Exactly.
The good news is is that they will get a lot more work for winning and being nominated, so although I feel bad for them tonight, I'm happy they will be busier in the years to come.
:)
