This is largely me. I don't watch sports, love outdoor craft and art shows, I cook, I keep a clean house, loved taking care of a newborn, and always put the seat down even though I live alone! Do you know what that gets you?

You're the guy women come to to complain about their a-hole boyfriends!

you can't win

Dude! That's exactly (well, except for taking care of a newborn bit) what I went through - until I met my wonderful Rose.

Might I suggest an online dating site? It is how I met my lovely husband. I pounced on him when I discovered he was kind, sensitive and interested in fun things like art, history, travel, silent movies and Stephen Sondheim musicals (AND was straight.)

Okay, I'll fess up. I actually know two single women. Two. One is way out of my league and the other has made it quite clear that I'm the example to her ex-husband that she can be "just friends" with a man.

And if you remember the history of my marriage, you might say I have mega-baggage regarding online hookups.

But when did this thread become about me?

LOL Her example of how men and women can be friends? Well, sorry, but that can suck. But, really, that means she is cool 'cause she can keep the two seperated. All important, if you ask me.

And, the one you say is out of your league? Only if you say so, honey.

Believe it or not, at one time, I thought Rose was out of my league.

I think she still is.

Let's just say that, when she's ready to start dating (she's "newly single"), she'll have way better options than me.

as it was said to me when I ,word for word, said that same "league" thing about someone I met

"thats for her to decide...and until you approach her, she'll never get the chance to decide"

just sayin

;)

What he said.....look around you. Don't you see people all of the time that you think, Wow, that is an interesting pair....and, give her more credit to appreciate your qualities that you aren't giving yourself credit for.

But, that newly single part. What is up with your friends both being newly single??? Is it something in the water or what?

Disneyphile 09-05-2007 09:03 PM

OMG. That was quite good for me. Thank you.

Now, back to the real world...
