I don't like the big rolls. I think it makes the people too damn comfortable and they get out of the habit of checking and changing the roll.

I'm raising teens here, ya know. Can't make their lives too easy.

And, yes, that is true about the toothbrush holders. The kids all have the battery opperated ones and they do not fit in the old holder. I picked up a freestanding one to hold them.

Oh my gosh! The toothbrush holder thing bugs me to death! It's near impossible to find a brush that has any kind of new features..meaning it's not just a flat bristled toothbrush...that will fit into our holder. Our's is freestanding..and I guess I could just buy a new one..but they all have the same size holes...urk!

And toilet paper...I only buy the scented Charmin...I like the smell and it adds a little something to the bathroom...gives it a nice flowery scent...

Except that normal rolls are smaller than they used to be. But I love Charmin. Charmin is the best. I don't care how much it isn't on sale, it must be the Charmin.

And I have the Sonicare -- toothbrush to the gods. It sits in its own rechargeable base -- no need for a separate holder. It peers down its bristles at your inferior, battery powered knock-offs.

this thread makes me laugh.....

Matterhorn Fan 03-01-2005 03:31 PM

I don't mind having lots of toilet paper. I mind having rolls that don't fit on the holder. I have to set the roll on the back of the toilet, which makes it look like I'm too lazy to change the roll. I'm lazy, but I'm not that lazy!

The toothbrush thing is easy to solve. Buy a cup, and put your toothbrush in it. Of course, I also have the Sonicare which stands on its very own base looking down upon the cheapy manual toothbrush. The Sonicare has shamed the manual toothbrush. The manual toothbrush's crappy handle broke on me the other day.

Long live the Sonicare.

I'm with Tref and blueerica on this one.

It *sucks* to run out of toilet paper and not realize it at the last minute. Not that this has ever happened to me. No, not me. Never ever.

I also run out of socks a lot. Because they escape to the Land of Lost Things on a near regular basis. At least one half of the pair does. Either that or Dobby steals them.

MF - If you are truly unhappy with the mega-rolls, I will happily take them off your hands.

dsnylndmom 03-01-2005 11:50 PM

Count me in the "never enough tp club" I have two young boys plus ALL their friends, there is NEVER enough tp in this house! Mega rolls are a blessing from God I tell ya! :D (but they actually fit on my holder weird! Oh and our poor pathetic manual toothbrushes are in a cup!
