"God villing, ve'll all meet again in Spaceballs 2: Da Search for More Money."

Harrison Ford is old. :(

Do you think she was drunk, high or both?

You know, I'm one who generally thinks that people get over-defensive about the issue of women's body image in the media (not that I deny that it's an issue, just that there's a lot of crying wolf that makes it hard to be honest about the difference between proudly being an attractive person vs. inappropriately defining a woman solely by her looks), but this even pissed me off...

"most unforgivable"?!? Are you freaking serious? How disgusting is that? First off, she's not even that out of shape, for crying out loud. But more importantly, while she certainly invited the opportunity to make it an issue by coming out in underwear and bra, "most unforgivable"?!?! There's a lovely message. "It would have been alright for her to be a total burnout and squander the few talents she did genuinely have, if only she had remained hot!"

Jerks.

That said, her performance was horrible. I've never liked her music, but I'd never argue against her ability to put on a show. Watching that video was just tragic.

Umm, and the Indy title sucks too.

That's Shia LaBeouf on the motorcycle with Ford? Looks like Brendan Fraser's younger, very similar looking, brother.

Interesting that you would interpret that as a dig on her appearance. I was referring to her stumbling and lack of focus. Being able to stand up straight does not have a lot to do with being hot or not. I sincerely doubt she would have been able to pass a field sobriety test and I think it's unfortunate when anyone's job is compromised by substance abuse.

No, no, I'm sorry. That post was formatted all wrong. I was referring solely to the AP quote, just quoted you as context. I knew you were talking only about her performance.

Well, isn't that pretty horrible. Darn it.

Gn2Dlnd 09-10-2007 10:43 AM

Who is the "she" you're talking about? I'm pulling an NA here, I haven't got a clue as to who you're talking about, or, even, what VMA stands for.

Dang, I just messed that post up royally, meant to give a link. Britney at the VMA's

BarTopDancer 09-10-2007 10:57 AM

Her performance was horrible - but for someone who had 2 kids in the past 3 years she looks great.

Gn2Dlnd 09-10-2007 11:03 AM

Oh.

I think I've officially reached middle-aged with this one. Gossip news, gossip news on formerly actual news outlets, performers I don't care about, music I don't care about, awards shows for things I don't care about. I'm so close to get off my lawning it's not funny.

Indiana Jones and the Quest for Cash. You go, Harrison, I'd still marry you.
