Scary ****. Making a mental inventory of what gets saved. F_ck the Range Rover. Sorry but those are a dime a dozen.

Harley
Lightning
Pictures
Files
Memory boxes
Computer Tower
Painting my friend made for me
Painting Babette and I got in Ecuador

Not sure what else. Its funny how quickly you realize that most shiz is replaceable.

Get off de internetz and load up the truck.

I'm not near that fire (off sand canyon and the 405) but I live in the land of dry brush. When I go to work I am taking my computer, external drives, iPod, photos and some other stuff. Maybe over-planning just a tad, but the amount of dry brush and dead hills around here is enough to make me worry while I'm at work. If my office is still habitable.

I never think beyond my pets what I would save. Of course, with 8 animals at my house at the moment, that would take a while.

Morrigoon 10-21-2007 10:43 PM

NM: I hope you've at least loaded up some of your stuff, given where you are. That fire is moving SW

BarTopDancer 10-21-2007 10:56 PM

I really hate fire.

And I really hate when the news start showing the animals that they may not be able to get out.

If I'm not mistaken, the thin green finger of Limestone Canyone Park is the back of NM's house. (look at the "M" at the s/w side of the park - the middle of the "M" is what I'm talking about).

NirvanaMan 10-21-2007 11:04 PM

That is correct. My house is directly on the cleveland national forest on that small finger. Plus side, it's watered with high pressure sprinklers regularly. Downside - at that temperature, it makes no difference.

Morrigoon 10-21-2007 11:05 PM

Sounds like it just turned around!

Fill up the hot tub. The fleeing Mountain Lions will need some drinking water. ;)

BarTopDancer 10-21-2007 11:10 PM

LOL. They won't have time to stop and eat though.

Mr. Paul "fire watch 2007" Moyer Furnel Chapman just said something about Sand Canyon and Irvine Blvd. Anyone catch that?
