I hope it's not too early to say how releived and grateful I am that everyone I know, affected by -omg- almost every one of the many fires in So.Cal have come thru unscathed and with hearth and home undamaged. I feel so helpless .... being, as I am, in what seems likely the area furthest from any flames in the enitre southern half of the state. My fervent wishes for continued good fortune to everyone. |

I know the feeling. I'm so dying to drive some donations to the shelters in San Diego (they need it the most), yet I don't want to crowd the roads or get in the way. |

Hmmm. Apparently Malibu is not out yet. Gotta love NBC. |

The USPS has flat rate boxes that holds a ton of stuff and are I think about $7.50. |

What I've seen from TV broadcasts here is the Red Cross prefers cash donations then they can direct them more easily to the areas/shelters that need things. |

Ok, every time I hear about the Buckweed fire on the TV, I can't help but think, "It'll be o'tay!" And then I think about Otay down in San Diego. I have a weird mind. |
