Question for you......Does Sephora make scents that are not, um, baked good/candy store scents or do they follow the Philosophy theory that ants need to love us. (Sorry, everyone here KNOWS I HATE that cnady/drink stuff.)

I'm definitely not the right person in my household to post to this thread, but since Heather has yet to hang in the lounge, I feel it would be remiss to not ask you all what you think of LUSH products? H is originally a Canadian gal, and we used to stock up on the stuff whenever we visited her family in Vancouver. A couple of years ago, they opened up their first US store here in San Francisco.
I'm partial to their Red Rooster soap, but Heather is a lot more adventurous than me, so our caddy always has some neat-smelling natural Lush product on one of the shelves.

I'm only aware of their one 3 in 1, and it's Cake "flavored" so as far as I know they follow the Philosophy philosophy (sorry, had to say it like that. :) )

I used to hate the idea of the food smelling body washes/perfumes (like Demeter stuff) but last year I wanted a 3 in 1 for my mission trip, so I grabbed a Philosophy, and I found that I never smelled it once I was out of the shower (and to my relief, since it was Margarita "flavored" I think, no one said, OMG, you smell like you've been drinking.)

Also, although I haven't used it, only smelled it....I think the Philosophy "Believe in Miracles" 3 in 1 doesn't smell like food....and the proceeds go to the Christopher Reeve Foundation.

NA, Philosophy is making a few non-food/drink smells 3 in 1s now. I think one is part of their "Grace" line and one is in their "falling in love" line. Ooo Along with Deathers, I also saw one with the procedes going to breast cancer research. I just saw the pink ribbon, didn't pay attention to what it was called.

...and I also love Lush's "Slammer" shower gel!

I'll smell the Believe in Miracles one next time I'm in Sephora (which hasn't been much lately - I've been at the MAC counter) If it doesn't smell like cake, margarita, strawberry sunday or such, I may try it. Thanks for pointing that out.

Aww! Thank you, cupcake! :) I'm so happy you posted this Thread! It's always been one of my very favorites. Plus, it's a healthy excuse to picture Swankers wet n' nekkid covered in sudsy bubbles.

What? Only I do that? :p :D

As much as I am a sucker for all things sweet, I know how you feel. I use a wonderful bath gel that I think you might really enjoy! Molton Brown Black Pepper Re-Charge Body Cleanser.

It's actually part of Molton Brown's Men Line. However, I find it's delicious on either gender. It's certainly not sweet. It's a little spicy, very clean & brings to mind a fresh peppercorn. I love how awake it makes me feel! My favorite combo? Black Pepper Body Cleanser followed by L'Occitane's Nectar De Massage. It doubles as a moisturizing milk, and is scented just like pure honey. However, it's not sticky sweet or candy-esque. It reminds me of a hot cup of herbal tea & honey. :)

I absolutely love Molton Brown & L'Occitane! I provided two links in case you are interested. I think you would just love Molton Brown's line, as well as L'Occitane. :)

OOOOH! I already like L'Occitane. I have a scent I sometimes wear called Verbena. I's just green and fresh enough for me (Or it was until a-hole NirvanaMan said I smelled like Lemon Pledge  - what does he know anyways)

The Molton Brown is interesting, but where do you find it? UK only?

My signature scent is Eau de Givency. I've been wearing it for years and years and I get Oooooh you smell sexy over and over, so I'm not messinng to much with that one. It's on the green side of things too with just a small touch of floral. I love it and it doesn't overpower me (which you would think would be hard to do);)

BarTopDancer 03-09-2005 01:39 PM

Bath and Body Works has Moulton Brown.

So Allybell, what's in your shower caddy? :p
