Yeah, ballet flats are in lately. I'm wearing mine right now, in fact.

Nice idea CP, but I just bought myself some new clothes already :) At Walmart, amazingly enough. Nothing too trendy though, basic casual businesswear.

What if we each took a photo of ourselves in our favorite stylish outfit, though? Either new or existing. I'd be up for that :)

Now I feel bad for being so ecstatic that long shirts and long sweaters were back, for people like me with long torsos. Yay, I can get things for work that are not only stylish, but don't make me worry about exposing my belly button.

Here's a basic online example (I don't actually shop at the Gap).

Actually, though the long shirts look different on bigger women, they aren't bad for us. I like being able to have my garment come down to my hips! i'll just create my own style! :)

Hey, random thought - what if we decided that we should each get one completely brand new, stylish outfit and post a pic of us in it? Perhaps give us a month to accomplish it? Don't forget the accessories!

If people are interested perhaps I'll start a thread. I need more clothes anyway.

I likes this idea, I do, I do! Then I'll have a "before" picture, too... :)

I stick with boot cut jeans (I love BR and Lucky but I hate spending that kind of $$).

Sweaters, button down blouses, t-shirts. Screw the 80's. I wear what's comfortable, fits and looks cute. I find Kohl's has a lot of cute, yet age appropriate stuff.

Agreed. I have great luck at Kohl's. I also like Lord and Taylor, but I don't think they have those on the West Coast.

I don't remember- does Mervyn's have a Plus section?

Morrigoon 01-08-2008 11:53 AM

Yes, that's where I got those silk blouses from - the green/gold, for example

I can't wear ballet flats or basic pumps of any kind - I walk right out of them. Shopping for shoes sucks.

Morrigoon 01-08-2008 11:59 AM

Mary Janes, then :)

This is why I wear Mary Janes almost exclusively. Okay, and I just love wearing Mary Janes and Stripey Socks. But not to work. :D
