I really liked Ozzy. I am happy with him and James, but that is about it.

I walked past Rupert yesterday while attending the NAMM show, a musical instrument convention that takes place every year at the Anaheim Convention Center. He was dressed in his typical tye-die shirt with the sleeves cut off and looked exactly the same. Not sure why he was there exactly but people were all hounding him for autographs.

I think Rupert is one of those that will always be....famous, I suppose. Even of the list of "favorites", I don't remember many of them, and he is also very distinctive looking. Many of the survivors blend in, but not Rupert.

I think the ones that will always stand out in my mind are Hatch, Rupert, Johnny Fairplay.

Anyone watch?

While I was surprised to discover that I seem to care more about this season, in the end, something about this episode felt VERY setup. The whole Johnny Fairplay thing seemed way too conspicuous. As if they knew they needed him to get people to watch, but either they didn't want him to stick around or he didn't want to stick around, or something. I don't know if I'd accuse them of letting the other Survivors in on it, but I have to wonder if his early exit wasn't semi-orchestrated.

Among other things...once you're voted out, do you get to go home immediately? Doesn't that kinda run the risk of making it obvious who gets voted out early? I thought they had to stay on board through the rest of the production.

Was that on last night????? No way! I completely spaced it with Lost on. Bummer.

I'm betting on no baby and at least even odds on no girlfriend.

I actually rather enjoyed this first episode. First they obviously selected fans that matched the fav's. One who is bigger/stronger than Gravedigger, another who looks to be a better swimmer/athlete than Ozzie, etc...

Then in the show itself, watching the Fav's getting it together to build a shelter, find food and even start fire while the newbies struggled. Then in the challenge seeing the team with food in their belly trounced by the team with fire in theirs.

The baby and girlfriend are quite real

That was one thing the first time around, he was ALWAYS truthful in the camera confessionals.

OK, but I still think he was trying to use that as a tool and I'm happy to have him gone.

Oh, and Scaeagels (and others) don't read that previous sentence until you have watched the episode.
