I attended a friend's wedding at Mandalay Bay's chapel. I deemed it a wedding factory. Brides and their entourages streamed out of there as we walked towards it, a wedding ended and let out as we arrived, we sat on time, had a 15 min ceremony, and were shuffled out, past the next bridal group in line. We then went to the buffet.
I don't know if this is your idea of lovely wedding bliss but it sure wasn't mine. Hopefully you can get something a little less assembly-line oriented...though I guess it floats others' boats. |
I say screw Vegas, and find an ordained person to quickly and discreetly marry you inside of Disneyland at a quiet corner, like a cave on TSI or something. ;)

You can even sign up for it online now: http://cr.ocgov.com/marriageappointment/ Now, DL will not allow wedding attire inside the park, but you could always don pirate hats and complete your nuptials in the front row of a boat on POTC or something. Yar!! And, you have enough friends to fill the boat, so no outside guests could "report" what happened. And just think - you'd literally be taking the plunge too. ;) And, there's always a little reception dinner at Azteca, complete with kareoke on Saturday nights, and there, you could totally wear the dress. ;) They've handled parties of up to 20 people before, and they even allow cakes to be brought in, and provide plates and serving utensils at no charge. |

Married at Disneyland? So much for wearing my $17 dress! OMG! What an IDEA! I could wear the dress to a reception :snap: Oh now my brain is in freaking overdrive. You offering? |

We could get Ken ordained online, and I can videotape. ;) |
Don't forget to ask the guy involved. While I didn't care a whole lot about the ceremony I would have rejected a Disneyland wedding (official or rogue).

I sense a change of plans here.....
(Great idea, DP! With everyone's DL knowledge and resources, you can really do this up to be fun and memorable!) |
as if I am not already asking him???
Come on Alex *lol* |
Just making sure, you wouldn't be the first bride to simply inform the groom of how things are going to be. Whether they like it or not, and if not that is a sign of love lacking and oh my god why are you being such an asshole and I can't believe I'm considering marrying you since you are obviously a horrible person!!!!!!!
