Done! I sent it off to my family also. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I believe that reading is fundamental to learning. Once you can read you can learn about anything your heart desires! Zach has been doing that to the fullest extent since he was little. I almost never turn him down when he wants to buy a book and he always donates his books when he's done.

:( I got Cannery Row at a RIF function sophomore year in high school. Sent me on a Steinbeck binge.

Rat Bastard Dubya, just because he is an illiterate slug does not mean the rest of the US need to sink to his level.

Actually, President Bush reads about 60 books a year....and no, they're not childrens books;)

Some of the titles he's read in the last couple of years:

-Mao; the unknown story(876 pages)

-American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer (796 pages)

-The Savage War of Peace(624 pages)

-When Trumpets Call: Theordore Roosevelt after the White House(512 pages)

-Polio; an American Story(368 pages)

-My Little Seahorse(7 pages)....just kidding about this one;)

My Congressman actually wrote me back on this! He says they are still fighting this and he says they will make Congress keep their promises to the children and their needs.
I just thought it was great that I got a reply from someone "official".

Assuming this is true, no wonder he's messed up. Between his reading and his workouts and his vacations, something's gotta give.
