In my family there is an agreed upon "what we will haggle on" before hand.

Any price changes are then noted on the price stickers if they are collected, or list.

But most times, in our circle, it ends of being a reason to gather, chat, drink, beer, and tan. No one ever leaves.

I can now see how this would be difficult for a non-local. Still a great idea though. Kudos to T & D for having it. :snap:

What Ponine said. ;)

Bumping this back up to remind everyone that we have just over two weeks to gather up our old stuff. :)

We went through Maddy's closet last weekend - 6 bags of clothes so far.

I'm going through clothes this weekend. I decided it's time, since I can't put them all away without literally stuffing them into the drawers or piling on the closet floor, both of which are unacceptable. Time to get rid of crap I haven't worn in awhile, so my stuff can remain clean and non-wrinkled.

Bill and I are in! We can bring our own tables.

BarTopDancer 07-29-2008 10:59 AM

I forgot about this. I should go through my stuff at home and at my parents.

Disneyphile 07-29-2008 11:17 AM

And, for those of you who are saving time by marking stuff as you're pulling it, don't forget to put your initials on the tags, so we know who gets the dough. :)

The night before, I'll print out a spreadsheet log so we can keep track of everything sold.

Oh, and a suggestion to sellers - please save up some plastic grocery bags and newspapers to wrap any fragile items.

I have a few tables/benches to use, but we're going to need more by the sounds of it. Thanks JW for pitching in a couple! Anyone else who can bring tables/benches (folding works best)?
