My GPS works as a bluetooth speaker. Now my big challenge is to remember to take the GPS with me when I leave the car. It's the #1 reason for auto break-ins in my neighborhood.

- and I just made two consecutive GPS posts in two different threads.

Just don't use the phone when you are driving. They have proven that even with "hands free" the likelihood of an accident is still high, since your mind is occupied on something other than what you should be doing...and that is driving a car!

Hah! I thought I'd keep to this....but lately I've caught myself TEXTING while driving. Yeech. I so shouldn't do that....

I got the bluetooth thingy same time Greg did but I haven't practiced with it at all. Now the time is upon us and I'm probably going to crash my car trying to use it. I refuse to put it in my ear every time I drive, so I'll have to grab it when the phone rings. Thankfully, I barely drive these days.

Well, guess what? Texting is legal....go figure.

They didn't close that loophole?

So more people are going to have their eyes off the road while looking for letters. Nice. Oh and ya, I used to text and drive. A lot.

I have rarely texted while driving. I suk at it. But I love how the new law will drive people to this incredibly dangerous practice.

wolfy999 06-23-2008 06:55 PM

Yep, you can type, but not talk (at least not using your hands).

well thought out, that

I would agree with you if I hadn't grown to hate my bluetooth. It would hijack my phone at inopportune times, and eventually got to where it refused to hold a charge.

But I see your argument.

Oh, and I've posted to LoT while driving. Not very often, but I've done it :P

I almost went out and got a cell phone. Then decided that since the only person I ever call while in the car is Lani I could get by just quickly dialing the phone and then putting it in my lap on speaker phone.

If I get a ticket for the 5 seconds of dialing then I'll live with it. Just compensation for the fact that I haven't driven the speed limit in 17 years and have only had 2 tickets.
