Totally. Wouldn't it be great if they presented it?

My cheese still stinks. No love for Big Bang Theory. :(

I give no Emmys to a show with a claim to ugliness when the woman in question actually isn't ugly at all, but is just wearing braces and glasses. OoOooh, HIDEOUS!!!

I wouldn't say she is ugly, but by standard TV lead standards she is plain.

But I've never seen the show except for one scene where Salma Hayek takes her shirt off in an elevator, so I haven't an opinion on Emmy worthiness.

That was a good scene.

The title is meant to be ironic. She works at a fashion magazine full of "Beautiful People", most of whom dismiss her because she isn't one of them. However, she's smarter and more capable than them; is quite attractive (both inside and out); and quite frankly, has a much better love life than any of her co-workers.

I think it sends a great message to girls who aren't fashion model "beautiful", and the show is hysterical to boot.

Oh... and if you think the show is all about making fun of the "ugly" girl, tghink again! It's the "beautiful people" who are made fun of!

Unfortunately, the only Emmy nom that one of my favorite shows, Big Love (on HBO), received was for "Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series" (Ellen Burstyn).
