Actually, I called Verizon. They reinstalled the software and rebooted it.

I've done that several times. It appears to help for maybe a few days at most.

I heard some people are using TiVo with FiOS. That might be an option.

1 TB HD TiVo (150 Hours of HD programming!) is available. Sure it is expensive as hell, but why not?
