Great joke, 'pod. :D

They don't even discuss WHERE THE FINGER CAME FROM!!! Who lost a finger? Or is the rest of the body in the mix somewhere? All I can think of is "Naked Gun". :)

They literally did do a finger check on all the Wendy's employees. All digits accounted for. Likely it came from one of the ingredient packing plants, but none has any reported incidents (they are required to report injuries by law...not that it's not possible someone didn't report it). Currently, they are sending it for finger printing to see if they can come up with anything from the national fingerprint database.

OMG! I didn't even think about that. How bizarre!

The way it used to be done (18yrs ago) was that the beans and seasonings were in a can and the meat was collected throughout the day. When a patty was on the grill too long it was added to a bucket to be counted. Once there was enough it would then be boiled and chopped up to add to the bean mix. I don't know if they still do that now. This was back when we used to chop our lettuce and slice or own tomoatos.

Omg! I used to work at the Wendy's in Panama City, Fla, about twenty or so years ago, and we did the same thing! That's why they serve chili- it enables them to use the meat that isn't used on the sandwiches. It was gross- they would store it in the walk-in all day (or two or three) and then boil the meat for a long time before chopping it up and putting it in the chili. I'm guessing the finger belongs to maybe an illegal or someone not interested in having any sort of official-type attentions paid to them

Note to self - never eat at Wendy's again.

Ok, maybe I'll get a Frosty once in a while.
