We listened to Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here at work yesterday. A talented man who was often overlooked because of the strong personalities of the other members of the band. Sad to see him go.

It's an uncommonly beautiful morning. Rare clouds of beauty in our usually featurless skies.

It added so much depth to my experience of listening to Wish You Were Here on the way into work this morning. I teared up a bit during the title track.

I heard last night (Jim Ladd) that he was actually fired from Pink Floyd during the recording of The Wall. He was later hired back by the band for the tour. The tour was so expensive that it lost money for the band. But since Richard was a contract musician (paid out of the pockets of the other band members), he was the only one who made money on that tour.
