That's a toughie.

1. Shazam - identifies recorded music
2. Public Radio - finds nearest public radio station and streams it... or any other
3. Frenzic - Great time waster ;)

I see I must check out Mousepod's midomi and Simplify and NA's Thereminator.

My top three at the moment:

twitterfon - for Twittering
ShopShop - free app for creating shopping lists
fring - for mobile IM.

I just wish you could run multiple apps at once.

you all need to run to the App Store and get tappytunes™ while it's free !! The full version is currently free (Check that when you get there), so don't get the lite version by mistake.

Oh, and they made a couple of mistakes too...

The song titled "Yankee Doodle Dandy" is actually the "Roger Ramjet" Song.

AND

The song entitled "My Country Tis Of Thee" is actually "God Save The Queen"

:p

So I believe Yelp has been discussed elsewhere (though not in this thread), but a friend just told me about an Easter Egg hidden in the August update for iPhone OS 3.1: Augmented Reality.

Quote:

Augmented Reality was not meant to hit the iPhone 3GS until at least the release of iPhone OS 3.1. Augmented reality uses your iPhone’s camera, GPS, and compass to show virtual items in the real world. Put your camera in front of a restaurant and it will come up with info, or use it to find nearby Twitter users. The potential is endless.

Yelp’s new iPhone app is now the first iPhone App with Augmented Reality. It takes Yelp information and overlays it into the real-world. It’s actually a secret easter egg (discovered by Robert Scoble), which may be why Apple didn’t reject Yelp’s augmented reality app. We have screenshots and a demo video to show you what this is all about.
I will be checking this out and reporting back!
