Well no need for further band research for me. If this weather holds up, we're not planning on getting there till around 4:00. Time only for Bitter:Sweet, Gogol and The Mars Volta.

Still have no idea how we're getting there and back.

Don't worry I think it's supposed to rain

innerSpaceman 10-01-2008 09:59 PM

I hear it actually is supposed to get way cooler. I generally put zero stock in L.A.-area weather prediction, but ..... please, please, please, please.

I would like to enjoy more of the festival. But a crowded downtown Los Angeles is not my choice spot for one of these Orbiting-Closer-to-the-Sun days we're having just now.

It will not cool down until after Yom Kippur.

Eliza Hodgkins 1812 10-02-2008 11:30 AM

According to weather.com today, there's a 30% chance of rain, with a high of 64 and a low of 55 . I've never seen a concert in the rain before.

Which is when?

bad Jew. Going to my room

innerSpaceman 10-02-2008 11:32 AM

Um, the weather man I trust has been right 85% percent of the time, a far better average than official sources.

His name: ZAPPPOP.

Yes, a cold front is on the way. Associated with zero moisture to result in precipitation. Hooray!

Prudence 10-02-2008 09:27 PM

I can't believe I'm missing Gogol Bordello again. I still haven't managed to see them perform.

I'm going to wish for a little rain, though. Just a little.

Not Afraid 10-02-2008 10:48 PM

Pru, why don't you join us?

KOSS SILENT DISCO ADDED TO DETOUR!
The silent disco is a brilliantly simple concept: dancers are provided with personal wireless headphones which are tuned to the DJ. This gives the outward appearance of a stage full of people gyrating to silence - but slip on the cans and it all makes sense. The Koss Silent Disco provides partiers with (freshly cleaned) Koss Wireless Stereophones which are, forget they're on comfortable, and deliver astounding noise-canceling. Koss Silent Discos have already been raver faves at major fests like Bonnaroo and Vegoose. If you and your mate/date need to communicate, you simply both slip off the Stereophones and chat away - no yelling needed!

Tickets $45 at the door,CASH ONLY!
All ages welcome, woooo!
