I didn't actually go to school around here but my kids (grown now) would expect me to reply to that with . . . GO BULLDOGS! :p

I once was part (not as a driver) of the most amazing speeding ticket ever near the Tri Cities.

One highway patrol car simultaneously pulled over 12 cars (and we weren't all together).

Who am I if not a derailer of derails?

LOL!

12 cars pulled over at once - sheezz. Maybe we were short on funds around here and needed to fill the void. ;)

I don't really identify the "middle class" with a specific monetary value because what a person can afford can vary so much from place to place. Owning a home in CA seems to be out of reach of what would traditionally be middle class, so either you raise the amount of what defines them, or you revise the middle class definition to include people who don't own a home.

I think I'm middle class, though I think middle class is shifted when you're single versus 'coupled' in any way. I know I am middle class right now - since there are certain costs that we share (ie. we share the energy it takes to cook, light, heat, etc. our dwelling that it would if we were single). On my own, notsomuch - I'd definitely be 'lower class' (if that's what it is when you're not middle), though I don't think anyone would view me that way... I'd pinch in some ways, and spend in others. It would balance out, at least in some way.

I'm comfortable, and thankful. Plus, I gets to have my new life requirement of at least 'one good cheese' in the house.

The Middle Class was one of (if not THE) first hard core punk bands.

Too hard to define. Depends on income, region, number of children (not required to be considered middle class, only to part of the equation in terms of remaining disposable income)....too hard to define indeed.

I prefer the term "Bourgeois" - "Petty Bourgeois" and as I aspire so much to be an elitist (even if not in the ruling class), I think that lands me squarely in the bourgeoisie.
