I'm permanent absentee but I too am in the "don't vote early camp."

Though even if I wanted to I couldn't vote yet. I haven't received my ballot yet and won't be seeing any more mail until the 24th anyway.

I'm thinking about taking myself off permanent absentee, though. It actually seems to promote me NOT voting. I get the ballot have tons of time and then forget about it until election day. I doubt that'll happen this time but I missed two out of the last three minor elections because of that.

Oh, and I looked for an early voting location but there aren't any in OC

Yes, my parents, too. It definitely ingrained in me the idea that voting is an exciting and important responsibility.

It's going to be an interesting one with me this time trying to explain to them why I will not be voting for McCain. I figure my 14 year old will get it, but my 9 and 7...doubtful.

With good conscious I cannot reward McCain or my Senator Saxby Chambliss (who is up for re-election) with my vote after selling out our nation with the bailout. I'm right there with ya scaeagles

Is it okay to write in "I hate you all" and have that count for something? ;)

I have no problem voting early. My opinions aren't going to drastically change between now and Nov 4. And if Obama turns out to be a hydra with an infinite number of heads, then I will be one speaking out against him. But I'm thinking that that's slim. Besides, I did my research and heard that Garfarco hydras are Republican.

Dude, write-in candidates. BD, I know you wanna vote for Huckabee anyway. SCE, you could always write-in Giuliani. They won't get elected, but you'll have expressed yourself.

Maybe if enough people voted for write-in candidates it'll get their attention.
