OMG, it's been dark here for-EVAH. Light doesn't really come-round until quarter to 8 (probably due to latitude and mountains to the east), and goes down pretty quickly, too... I've already done a go to work in the dark, get home at dark kind of work day. I don't likes it.

And remember, kids, it's time to change those smoke detector batteries.

I have to hear about it and end up talking about it every year, and I still talk about it, despite my annoyance. I smile while everyone cheers in the fall and jeers in the spring, all the while thinking "this is stupid." I'd rather talk about the weather.

So, about this time-change... anyone as pumped as I am? :D

Personally, I hate that they screwed with when it happens.

Europe changed a few weeks ago. It makes things complicated when dealing with an office in Dublin.

And Arizona does follow use DST. So for (roughly) half the year, the time is the same as Cali and is one hour ahead for the other half. Also annoying.

And the vibrator batteries.

I say we cut the difference and go 1/2 hour in between year round. That ought to really confuse everyone.

Break up the time zones in 6 minute increments all around the world (using absolute straight lines: none of this "following geography" caca de toro.

The sudden time change and driving home in the dark is the signal for me that the seasons are changing and we're heading towards the holidays. I like the transition.

Time change has meant suddenly sweaters.
