Yesterday, in the kitchen most of the day baking cranberry/pistachio biscotti, russian tea cake cookies (with too much rum in them, perfect for pirates), death by chocolate cookies, stilton/walnut crackers and a large pot of chicken chili.

I have five different types of cookies plus rum balls and fudge to make before Christmas. Good thing I have all next week off!

I made Christmas cookies Saturday. Might make some more just for Alex and I, but this time it'll be frozen dough, not from scratch. I toyed with the idea of doing some breads, but doesn't look like I'm going to. Cookies are easier, anyway.

I haven't even started my Christmas baking yet. Generally we try to divide cookie duty across family members, but that won't fly this year. So, I'll have to make all the sorts I want myself.
