I'm really sad about Bob Wilkins, boy there is a part of my childhood.

Gosh, the way things are going, you'd think I obessed over dead celebrities....;) and Alex beat me to it, of course.

It is being reported that Ricardo Montalban has died.

Holy Moly! What the heck is going on?

Bob Thomas is reporting here

If it were Shatner, Euro, it would be:

"KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN"

My first thought was the sound of his voice enunciating "Reeech Corinthian Leather"

I actually have a Ricardo Montalban story. Twenty years ago, one of my last pre-law school jobs was working as a waiter at Hamburger Hamlet in Beverly Hills. The wait staff was a mix of "kids" like me and older ladies who had been there twenty years. We'd get the occasional celebrity, and some turned heads more than others. One day, Ricardo Montalban came in and sat at the counter. The older ladies kind of went nuts, and he was, like all good celebrities, very gracious. Biggest reaction I saw that year.

And if you're keeping score, Ken Wahl was a distant second.

I don't think that restaurant's there any more.

Sadly, no: it is gone. There are still locations in Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, and West Hollywood.

And the East Coast!

I remember the same from the one time I met him.
