I can't count on being able to go, but I'm interested.

I wish I could go. I mean, after the shenanigans at the last Edison meet who wouldn't want to go?
;) :)

Hmmm ... Combine a unique venue, an interesting performance group, and a special reason to gather with cool people ... all sums up to what sounds like a very special evening. I am a strong maybe, as long as I can turn down any potential last-minute, work-related news/photo assignments that day.

A Bum and and update

We've reserved a table at the Edison for 10 - that sounds like it will meet our needs, so if you want to come and haven't responded to the poll or said something in this thread please let us know. We'll be sending our "guest list" to the Edison a day before, so we can make sure you get in.

Our reservation is for 7:30 and the entrance is $20 at the door. If you arrive after 8:00 and the place is crowded, there's a chance you may have to wait before you can get in. If we have your name on the list, you'll have priority at the velvet rope - so please RSVP so you don't spend the evening in the alley.

There is a dress code at the Edison which the Edison has asked us to remind our guests - so far I've seen numerous guests not adhering to the code in previous visits, but again - we just want to make sure you get in without delay.

We're looking forward to seeing you.

Yay, of course I'm in.

And of course, I'm crazy. Ok, here goes ... late night Lucent Lisa Edison school night no-no, yes-yes ...

drag myself to work, followed by ... Annual Family Seder ... second night in a row of drunken fun.

drag myself to work again. Friday night, collapse ... oh, unless I'm still dating this new guy (i hope), in which case this will be last time to see him b4 week+ away ... so, um, date night.

Saturday ... choice between (or likely combo of), Gay Activist Coalition mega-meeting -and-Disneyland with Super K! and ?, followed quickly by too-late-night drive to San Francisco (or if sanity prevails, skipping both those things to drive to San Francisco in daylight).

followed by Easter Sunday - observe or, better yet, enter the insane Big Wheel Race. Evening perhaps dinner with Snowflake or at the emergency room.

followed by a week in Yosemite with the Lashpair and their amazing California entourage. OMG the fun and frolic.

followed by a weekend in Cambia with much the same people, but new guest star, ex-boyfriend Isaac who loves architecture and has never experienced San Simeon.

followed by return to L.A. and ... um, death.

Ghoulish Delight 03-29-2009 08:43 PM

Well now.

A little family drama has suddenly freed us up Wednesday night.

Yay?

CoasterMatt 03-29-2009 08:51 PM

Well iSm, that sounds like one swell way to go

innerSpaceman 03-29-2009 08:52 PM

I'm looking forward to it. And to starting my road to death on the anniversary of Lisa's birth.

Cheers!

Well, the thing is, you HAVE to stay until midnight because I won't be old until then.

My schedule is similar to ISMs:

Wednesday hell day at work followed by drunken night of debauchery at the Edison without the benefit of drinking.

Thursday, more work hell followed by the DownTown Art Walk where some of my favorite artists are featured in a show at my favorite store (that I may be connected with sometime soon) where the FANTASTIC Korean BBQ truck will be parked outside.

Friday - work hell, followed by packing hell, food prep and house cleaning because the next time we see the house will be with HOUSEGUESTS.

Saturday - drive to my Brothers making a stop along the way to see my new Great Nephew.

Sunday - Easter Brunch with 40 members of my extended in law family

Monday - shop for dinner food for 16 people in a store I am not familiar with, leave Thurston with my brother, cry a lot, then find the cabin.

Oh, and sometime in there I have to put the house back together whenever our remodel is done.
