Never had one, probably never will. Though I have had APs on the 'other' coast (and will get a new one of those in October).

We lapsed between June and December, then we bought the lowest-level and upgraded to the second-lowest in the new year.
Weird to see so many premium-level passholders among you. I don't think I've seen a big group of you* in a park in... actually, since the last LashBear meet. I see you everywhere else, though. *there were maybe eight of us for a half-hour in DCA, but that's not a huge group. |
No entry for me in the poll so here's my write-in:
No, live too far away, but wish I could. |
Ours lapsed in early February and we haven't renewed. We've had Premium for the past 8 years but we're just not using it like we used to. Some of it has to do with how busy our lives have become, how much other stuff we do that's not Disney and how much time we spend at Dog Friendly places. I'm not sure what we're going to do in a few weeks. The "extra"$700 has come in handy so far this year.

I've had an AP since 1999... I always purchased the best one I could get at the time. (I think Premium started not too long after DCA opened...) I was really broke last year though, and I let it lapse over the summer (mid-June to mid-August) and ended up just getting a Deluxe with parking this time around. I've not had the need to go on any blackout days thusfar so I'm happy with it. Maybe I'll have more cash next year so I can get back to Premium...

I started the AP in 1994, and have had no more than 2 month lapses and renewed every year. I just got my new one in the mail a few days ago. I probably always will have one.
When I got the first one I don't remember there being different levels, but now I only get the premium so I don't have to keep track of the Block out days. |
The last time I was inside a Disneyland park was to cover the premiere of the last Pirates movie. Didn't need a pass since I was press and never went farther into the park than my assigned spot on Main Street.
The last time I was at the resort was to work as staff two MouseAdventures ago but I had a role that never required leaving the Paradise Pier hotel during the event and never went near the parks. The last time I was truly inside one of the Disneyland parks was in prep and to run the last MouseAdventure I was in charge of so I think that is two and a half years ago. The last time I was simply in a Disneyland park to have fun and not as some form of MousePlanet work was probably sometime in 2002 (though there were still plenty of times where work was mixed with fun). Which probably explains why the place no longer holds any appeal to me. I kind of just view it as a burden. To the extent I think of Disney parks as a possible fun destination is WDW or TDL that I think of. So, no annual pass for quite a while after a solid decade of them. |
Deluxe passholder for the last year, I tend to switch between Deluxe and Premium...I do let mine expire because the 20 dollar discount never covers the time I'd give Disney between trips and because we do like doing the early entry I tend to buy park hoppers and then upgrade to which ever pass fits the budget that trip, I have upgraded to premium a few times but since I can adjust the trips to avoid blackouts I save the extra for gas!

Since H works for the mouse, we have "Silver Passes". Initially, I was worried that I'd have to buy an AP because of the 6-week blackout in the summer and the Christmas-New Year blackout, but in the past 18 months, we've only wanted to go once during those days (and had free tickets anyway).
