Dude! You saw the views, right? You saw the bear? You saw the squirrel and the deer and heard about the hiking? All of that plus indoor plumbing, a real kitchen, a cozy fireplace and a comfy bed and you've got the best of both worlds. The Wii is just a bonus. ;)

That said,

I have to agree with Prudence on this. If I must sleep in a tent, I must. But I hope somebody gots room for me (and Snowy) since we don't gots no gear. We can't sleep comfortably in my Volkswagen. And I really don't see a major purchase of camping gear in my future.

Blah, that sucks. I'm sorry, that must not have helped your developing sinus infection. But still, it would be comfier to me than a sleeping bag on the ground. And really, I can't say enough about how great it would be not to have to go outside to pee, in the dark, near bears.

I'm not picky. I love going places and had a great time this year. I'm not sure why there can be only one trip. It seems we have enough interest to do a variety of things.

If I can go, I'd love to go.

My only request would be not Easter or either of the immediately adjacent weekends, but since my attendance is always a question mark, I opted not to influence the official results by voting.

Just so ya'll know, we'll be bothering the Lashpair in Aussieland probably mid-April of next year. Swank camp may have to move a bit south.

I'm in.....for 2011

Well, I'm just tossing this out there. I'm still a Yosemite newbie and want to experience more than a drive by with people who love it, too. And, this would give me a whole year to get in better shape for some hiking, though not a 10 hour death defying one, at least not the first hike.

WB, Awes-tralia sounds fabulous for 2010. Hmmmmmmmm;)

Oh Goddess... let me recover from this year first

I'm sure there's lots of energy and enthusiasm for smaller-gauge outings, and I would certainly encourage people to plan them. However, if we want to have one super-large LoT camping experience every year, I think I agree with iSm that it should alternate cabin/tent.

And I think we should plan the next one immediately so that I can complete my shopping in time.
