I admit. But, there's more Obama love-fest here than you may admit. Look back at some postings and avatars if you need proof.

I present with a bowl of sour grapes. Enjoy!

???

I don't think I, nor you, know what the hell you're talking about...

I don't think it's appropriate to post any "should __________ be killed/assassinated" poll.

This includes the batfvcking insane leaders of Iran and N. Korea.

My response to the following is all pretty much the same as my response above (that is, I don't care much). But since this thread does remind me of the non-partisan outrage over the Kill Bush t-shirt line:

The Kill Bush flash game:

The Kill Bush rally signs

The 10-minute-rant from an 8 year boy promising to kill George Bush.

etc. etc. etc.

I'm just really curious how you all find so much energy to constantly be outraged by things. And despite all protestations about universal disapproval of all such silliness that most seem to only be bothered to the point of shared protest by one half of it all and it conveniently mirrors your political predispositions.

Was this directed at me?

Alex 09-28-2009 08:20 PM

No, just in general (so, I guess, yes, in the sense that you're part of in general; but at times I fall into the behavior I'm loathing on too).

I don't understand the fascination with expending energy getting outraged as meaningless stuff. And then so often we do and then pretend that we're outraged at the nature of the offense and not that it is just that it is an offense against our side.

And I'm thinking that in this regard the next 7 years are going to suck around here. During Bush the bold few would do this and then it would get slapped down pretty quickly as the irrelevancy they usually were. This time that slant it's just going to feed on itself and feel like a Freeper circle jerk.

BarTopDancer 09-28-2009 08:30 PM

I don't get outraged about everything. I'm not even outraged about the poll. Most of the stuff during the Bush administration didn't outrage me either.

Actually I think the last political thing I was outraged about was Prop8. And before that was when we started bombing Iraq. At least that I remember. Those are the only two times I have ever been out with a sign or taken some sort of action, and a sign/action says I'm outraged.

You think you sound funny, or lofty. You sound like a jerk.

Thank you for deciding that there is proof for the extreme labels you have designed for us.

Seriously, you sound like a jerk.

I don't know what a Freeper circle jerk is, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to be one.

That's funny. I didn't even know what a Freeper was. :D How I missed out on that bit of webology, I don't know. Thank you Alex and thank you UrbanDictionary.com!

Well, no, and no. Funny maybe in the sense that I (as I stated) was just being snarky, but comedic? Not even trying. And lofty? Sorry again. Just being as rhetorical as anyone else. But sorry if you felt I was being jerky. Wasn't trying to be.

Extreme labels? Huh? What extreme labels have I placed on you guys? I recognized the presence of much Obama love here (which there is) but I don't remember calling anyone here names or labels. I didn't even say that the Obama love here is wrong or bad. ??? Seriously, I don't know where you got this from. If it's just a reaction to your perceived "jerkiness" in my previous post, then I guess I can get that. Otherwise, I'm a bit mystified. ???
