In the Pacific Division the Kings are in first, the Ducks are in fifth. There is something wrong with that picture.

Well we all know how my season is going. I'm ok with not making the playoffs, though I'd rather see Selanne and Scotty go out better than this.

The Western Conference is so interesting this year. The Kings and Coyotes are making the playoffs for the first time in many years and the Coyotes are posed to take 1st in the Conference. Meanwhile Detroit is struggling to remain in 8th, while the Ducks and Dallas are going to start golfing in a few weeks.

WTF.... I hear they'll be dropping the puck in the underworld any minute here

Coyotes! Go Coyotes!

What city do they play in again?

In all seriousness, though, it makes me wonder if Gretzky just sucked as a coach. He wouldn't be the first superstar who did.

My son is in the same class at school with Gracie Doan, Shane Doan's kid, so it makes me happy for him. He's a really nice guy (been on a couple of school field trips with him).

Or did Bryz light a fire under their asses.

That's good to hear. I don't like him as a player but no nothing of him as a person. Hockey players are generally some of the nicest, most accessible professional athletes. Especially in an area like SoCal (or AZ) where there is a core group of fans who would recognize them but they can go to Disneyland, or to the grocery store without being mobbed.

scaeagles 03-27-2010 09:48 AM

Yeah, true....a lot of self motivated superstars like a Gretzky may not know how to motivate those who play less than their best or don't give it all everytime on the ice (or the court or the field or whatever).

Often the most talented people make the worst teachers/coaches. When it comes easily and naturally to you, you don't know how to explain it to someone for whom it's not easy.

So that's why I make a lousy sex educator

Well, that and the fact that you only allow reptiles to enroll.
