I know that's a popular one, but so long as the person doesn't spell it "axe" when they write it down I don't have a problem with "axe" any more than I do with Southerners droppin' Gs.

A common Aussie bastardisation of that is:
"May I arks you a question?"

...surprisingly common. :rolleyes:
