I found Washington D.C. to be one of the most depressing American cities I've ever visited. The Capitol area is wonderful but in a way that heightens it.

So... long time no see. I am again job hunting and I've been deeply, horribly depressed. I have been hired on at the Park at my old Haunted stomping grounds, and I may have a 6 week contract coming up.

I heard it this morning on the news, but nothing since.

I have, however, been doing my part today:
recycled various paper reports (they were wrong anyway)
drove my lil wind up car to work (love that lil thing, even if it aint a racecar)
recycled the half dozen plastic bottles littering my desk
killed the ants on my desk with a 'squish' instead of insecticides

I always thought I wanted one. Then I got to rent one when my car was being worked on. What a piece of crap. It was a total gutless wonder and with more blind spots than any other car I have ever driven.
