We've had four inches of rain since Friday. Flood warnings cover many parts of the area, streets are closed all over the place due to localized flooding (aka: clogged storm drains) and we are looking forward to thunderstorms "some possibly severe with damaging wind and hail" this evening. Oh, and on top of all that, the Nationals play here too. *bleeeck*

Yes, the water company raised rates, and charge large penalties any time you exceeded your "allotted" water usage.

Thanks. :) Most of the year, I live in Narnia, where it's always winter and never Christmas.

...and now to sports....

"Icky hot"... Is that an official meteorological term? ;)

It's drizzling enough that Rufio is staying inside! Voluntarily!

Oh, and Helen, LOVE the flowers. I'll have to catch Forster when it goes off for you this spring.

Snowflake has reminded me that some of you may have been worried about me. We had some wicked weather yesterday morning. There were about six tornadoes in Georgia on Sunday morning. They were all south of Atlanta and thankfully I live north of Atlanta. We did get some really good rain for our drought stricken lakes and rivers but it was sure a very loud way to get it. It was as if Admiral Boone from Mary Poppins was directing Mother nature: Nobody sleeps this morning! TWO CHARGES!!The storm definitely woke me up at 3 AM.
