Yeah, something like that.

The dragonfly carcass was gone by the time I got back to the car this afternoon, so hopefully he came back to claim his prize before another lizard, or a crow or something did.

We have lots of those lizards. I like them - they eat bugs. They only time they bother me is when they hang out on the wall of the house right about eye level. I don't see them until I get close and when they scurry away. . . I flinch every time. There one that lives near the front of the house that's missing it's tail... but just starting to grow it back. He's easy to identify.

Um, yeah... sorry. Glad you didn't click the link.

Awwww, this was a good link. Just pictures of lizards.

Hi, Nephy!

I've decided that rehearsing two shows is too long to sit in one place. I also don't like classes that have large numbers of dancers. These are inevitably the ones who have groups of dancers going offstage, and coming back on in a different wing than they left. This means they have to go around a curtain and dancers seem required to finger the stage drapes as they go past. STOP IT.

I mean, in your home do you touch every rotten thing you pass? Every corner? Does your mother make you clean the corners? I would.

Not to mention that half of them *fling* it out of the way, which looks really bad from the audience point of view. They see things moving, which catches your attention, and you're now looking offstage instead of at the dancers onstage.

Maybe I'm just grumpy. Some schools teach their kids stage manners. This isn't one of them. Not to mention that they have competitive dance teams, which means suggestive dance bits from tiny children. It winds up being a little creepy. I can accept suggestive moves from girls, say, age 15 and up. But at 8? Not so much.

Been out of the loop lately and missed that Mark and Brian announced that they will be ending their radio show in August when Mark retires. Brian will continue with a solo show.

Bummer :(

First Car Talk, now Mark and Brian. Tough week for anachronistic, past its prime, radio.

I'm not familiar with Mark and Brian. But I mourn their passing.

Same here, apparently the never did anything controversial enough to garnish national attention.

I still enjoyed listening to M&B. No, they weren't ultra-hip guys (they would self-depricatingly point that out); more like a comfortable shirt. I will miss them, but look forward to what Brian has to offer on his own.
