Poor Jack.

Maybe they should adapt that show "Honey We're Killing the Kids" for pet owners  ;)

Jack just has big bones. ;)

Actually, all of our cats are within normal weight limits except Charles and he's lost 3 pounds. Two more to go and he's there.

Jack's problem is that he's got a lot of floppy, furry jammies.

Now I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but you try raising $48 million dollars in a weekend! It's weird that the media is calling this a failure. It still seems pretty decent to me. But if they are comparing it to part two's takings, then yes it's not doing well. I have no plans to see it...

I have Tom on the brain this morning. Did you ever notice that he's always running in all of his movies?

Run, Tom, run!
:D

Well, he sure isn't acting :)

We decided on a whim to see it yesterday. There's a bit where Cruise's screen-wife tearfully asks him to tell her that the love between them is real. My own Tom leaned over to me at this point and said "you know that Katie Holmes has actually had this coversation."

Adjusted for inflation, it did 30% less than the opening weekend of MI II*. I wouldn't necessarily call that a failure, but it is fairly significant drop.

* According to the news report I just heard on the radio. Since I shouldn't be posting right now as it is, I do not have the time to find links to verification.

That's pretty bad.

Some news story I saw said that Tom Cruise's failure & unusual behavior makes him the new Kevin Costner. I thought that was pretty harsh. :D

We saw it last week at a free screening. It was better than I expected. Not the greatest movie of all time. Not even the greatest action movie of all time. But it was enjoyable. PSH of course was awesome. The story was good, and J.J. Abrams' directing was, of course, good.
