I'm sure they'll find it - I just have always figured it was someone else who crashed in it, not Henry, and that as an Other he's using it as a cover story.

Can you share your theory? I'd love to hear it! :)

I get what you're saying but what threw me is that it seemed Jack and Locke had switched positions. When they first got the prisoner, Locke was the one who teamed with Sayiid to imprison and torture the guy. Suddenly it's Locke who's unsure about what to do with him and Jack who wants to keep him indefinitely? They even showed a clip from that in the "previously on Lost". It doesn't make sense.

I just finished watching it. All hail TIVO!

My thoughts:

The plane mobile was almost disturbing. It has to be a clue. And I'm pretty sure the music was the song that Claire had her adoptive family promise to sing to the baby (put a shooting star in your pocket?).

I think Locke is playing Henry and I think they will find a balloon. I still say he is an Other.

Why didn't Alex escape with Claire?

I totally thought Eko was going to slit his throat.

And finally. Where are they? That medical equipment was modern and they disappeared with all their equipment, the paint is faded. They left their "Other" clothing and the beard behind. It will be interesting to see how they look next time they show up.

And who was the "He" Ethan and cleaned up pirate guy were talking about. When Claire was in the nursery and they stepped out into the hallway??

Good question. I had forgotten about that.

I love and hate this show. I dread the potential X-Files "wrap it all up" by wrapping up a few threads and ignoring the rest. I feel that this would have been a great miniseries, but might falter as a 5-year (did I imagine that?) arc.

Having said that - I haven't missed a single episode (yay dvr) and have developed a theory about the "secret".

A couple of key parts of my guess:
- There was no plane crash.
- All of the 'flashbacks' are suggested memories, not real ones.
- The "others" also part of the 'experiment' - they're not the puppetmasters.

There's more - but I won't bore you with it. So far, I haven't seen anything that directly refutes my hypothesis, which I've had since the beginning of the show.

When Ubergeek and I talked about it, he added a some observations that completely make sense (to my sci-fi warped mind, at least). I'll let him fill you in.

BTW, has anyone here seen "Dark City"? If not, you should.

I have faith simply because in setting the 5-year (no, you didn't imagine that) time-line, Abrams specifically said that he wanted to avoid the X-Files trap. X-Files also started with a 5-year story line, but its success was so far beyond what they expected, that they decided to drag it out as long as possible. So by the time they finally did have to wrap it up, they had gotten so far off track that it was impossible to rein it in. Abrams has sworn that he's got a 5-year story and will stick to it.

I love "Dark City". Plus, it has a really, really fantastic rendition of the song "Sway."
