Or unless you DID do the audition nude.

lol! Comedians.
:D Speaking of that, one of the things that may hurt my chances in a small way is how I voiced my concern to the board at this theatre about their decision NOT to do the nudity. It truly is not in the script, but it is tradition. Another local theatre here did the nudity when the performed it in 1998. One of the board members asked me if it was truly vital to the story. I said: "Well not doing it would be like ending Act I of Phantom without a chandelier or just having Elphaba ride around on a unicycle during 'Defying Gravity'". :D |
Now it's the waiting game...
Tick tick tick tick.... |
I am anxiously awaiting the outcome! I hope you get the part you want.

The callback went well tonight. But still no word on whether I'm in the tribe or not. I thought I was the only person auditioning for the part I wanted but something must be up if they haven't called yet... Hmmmmm.

Did you do the callback naked?

:) I heard an annoying story about an actress here who was cast as the lead in "White Christmas" (the play - it's playing now) and dropped out one week into rehearsals because she didn't want to kiss her costar onstage. She said it was against her religion. (She drops out despite her reading the script beforehand and the director asking her in the audition if she had a problem with it!) My response was 'If you want to be an actress you're going to have to kiss someone at some point. If you can't do that, then what else won't you do? And, do you really want to be an actress because you're going to have to take risks at times. If you can't, don't act.' At the very least, she should have told him this during the audition. What a dinglecheese. |
Sounds more like an attention-slut rather than an actress. Acting sounds so romantic and exciting, but she isn't committed.
