OMG, I'm going to Yosemite... TOMORROW!

My brother's on his own for a few weeks while the wife & kids are in Taiwan and I called him up to see if he'd like to do a quickie camping trip at some point. Next thing I knew, we were making plans to leave tomorrow for a 2-night jaunt in Yosemite!

Now I just have to hammer out all the other details like popping on a few days of work at my boss' house early next week (hey, when I'm present I get a lot more hours in, helps pay for the gas!), and crashing at my dad's for that part of the trip. But basically, it's a-happenin'!

Fun, Morrigoon! And good luck on that job. Though I know you'd really hate to ditch your current gig. ;)


As for free cone day - I just now discovered the Ben & Jerry's a block from here has closed. Bah.

Do cell phones work in Yosemite's lodging areas? I presume so (still have to take a conference call Thursday morning). Hell, if they have internet there's probably phone. Or worse comes to worse I could skype in or something.

I know you can call the Valley from the top of Vernal Falls. Made me feel much less wildernessy. I suppose that means there's service down in the Valley (the Valley so low).
