My father liked eggs in bacon fat--when he was still alive. I think he also liked to butter his liverwurst and salt his cream cheese.
I must admit that eggs in bacon fat is yummy (though you should let the fat cool a bit before cracking the eggs). But there's no reason to argue. Lashbear's recipe sounds fun to make and just as lethal. Call them both Ditka. |
I do make a good microwave pumpkin custard, however.
Whatsa Ditka? |

I was once told, by a professional chef, that microwaves are a very useful tool in the kitchen; but that they should never be used to actually cook food.

Hi All,
It's my very first post to the "Soooo-ing Thread", and I see there's been a bit of needle-pulling going on ! Re Microwave Ovens: Bear cooks the most amazing scrambled eggs (even better than my stove-top variety) in the MO. I don't know how he does it, because I once tried to do poached eggs, and when I took 'em out, they exploded and burnt my eyebrow - and my pet poodle "Bemo" attacked the rubbery goo that landed on the floor and then skated it though the kitchen and down the main hall. So I'm cautious of MOs now, and leave Bear to their arcane ways. Love and hugs, The Stoat XXX. |
Stoat,
That is the most horrifying microwave story. Your poor brow! Your poor poodle! :( <-- even my cheese is sad! I dont know what else to say. |
I am tired today. I spent the day running all over town.
|
I think you must be asleep - no-one's there.. :D
Yoo hoo, anyone there in the Soooo thread ?? |
Yes.
