Hi, Pru! Yes, I missed you!

MG- that stinks.

My dog has a urinary tract infection and hasn't eaten in 4 days. He's skinny to start with and I'm really concerned about him. The antibiotics ought to knock down the infection if he lives long enough. He refuses food and that's not like him.

If you need a place to hide until the heat blows over, I have a basement you can use! ;)
Great shot, BTW!

And congrats on the new 'puter, Bopper! Mines almost as old, so I know what you mean! It's started overheating, perhaps I should clean out the dust bunnies! ;)

My friend and I are still working out the details and such but I should be getting it sometime in the next few weeks. If you want I'll point you in the right direction too. Y ou may not get as much of a break but I think it will be a great deal.

I hope they don't mind you posting this photo on a message board.

As the youngest of five (four older sisters), practically EVERY milestone in my life has been a weepy moment for my mother.

Yesterday, during the Braves/Angels baseball game, they cut away from the game to show a shot of Disneyland. It showed happy people getting in line for It's a Small World. No tarps, no refurb walls... The shot was presented as if they were showing some sort of live footage from the park at the time.
:D
Gong.

I wonder if that could get someone in trouble. Remember a few years ago the mini-scandal when it was revealed that CBS (I think) was adding in recorded bird song to their coverage of golf tournaments?

They were found out when some bird watcher recognized the song as belong to a bird that was not found in the region of the tournament.

Phooey, no new cool Valentino for me. I did not win the postcard folio he sent to his sister. I suspect the winning bidder was my nemesis in LA. It's okay, I knew it was a long shot since I did not have oodles of $$ to put on it. Now I can apply more debt (one of my two mantras: pay off debt first, pay off debt first)

the second mantra is: are you really sure you need/want to eat that?

You parents having those 'moments'.....

My youngest just went from 8th to 9th grade. No promotion ceremony, not sure how I feel about that. But, it did lessen some pain, maybe?

But, 14. Doesn't like to come out of his room. But, he finally is liking to wear nicer clothes!!! :D

I am not sure if it is because I told him to dress for the award ceremony in new jeans and very nice dress shirt {over a nice t, of course}. He asked why and I told him he needed to look nice. Why? To show respect for the occassion. Then I added 'To show respect for yourself. You should be proud of yourself and want to look nice'.

I hope that is part of it. I want him to be proud of himself and to look nice.

But, burping at dinner, he still thinks that is okay.

It is very hard to see our kids grow up.

But, I do recall feeling very sad, myself, when our swingset was taken down. And, when my playhouse was taken down. Big moments in my life.

Times when kids have to acknowledge they are growing up. Tough for them, too, don't you think?

{I guess I am too meloncholy?}
