Thank God you have the generator attached to your treadmill so you can post.

Ryan Lizza tweeted a photo of a massive thunderbolt over D.C. Friday evening, Moonliner. Over 100 lightning strikes in just an hour, I heard. Wow.

I am so sorry you have to go through this heat like this. Sincerest sympathies.

It's a bitch I tell ya. Yesterday during the screening of xmen first class we had to settle for 7.0 surround sound. I could not get an extension cord to the subwoofer. :(

Pepco says we cannot has power until Friday. :(

I have a friend in Columbus that has been told they're not likely to get power again until next Friday as well.

Well there's the problem. Soda commpanies shouldn't be in charge of the power.

Oh, wait. That's Pepsi Co, not Pepco. Sorry, never mind.

Anyway, I hope all is running as soon as possible, and the East Coast can still manage some kind of celebration for the Fourth!

*sigh*

Like Pru, I'm not expecting power back until at least Friday.

Current outage map for our area

Plus we get the added joy in that the tree that damaged the back of our garage also squashed our air conditioner.

Garage Damage

So now we get to deal with the insurance folks as well. Happy happy joy joy.

That's such a bummer, Moonie! I hope things go as easily as possible. That's one of the things I hate about pine trees, their branches snap off rather eaisily. Though, in that kind of storm all forms of vegitation were giving up body parts.....

:(

Like a good neighbor State Farm is there?

Or

President Palmer will be showing up?
