I don't know if this is going to make any sense but here goes...

Ever watch Bugs Bunny and every so often Mel Blanc does a male voice that's usually designated for a human male character? Like he always sounds nasally and has a kind of a Jersey accent? There's a guy in my office that sounds exactly like that. And he's loud. Everytime he talks it makes me smile. It's Looney Tunes around here, folks.

The physics teacher I had seemed normal until we did our unit on sound. He recorded himself singing row row row your boat, and the whole class suddenly realised that he sounds exactly like Kermit the Frog.

Whenever I "rested my eyes" while he was talking I just pictured Kermit in a lab coat teaching.

So today on my way to work I was almost run off the road by a maniac in a Yukon. Apparently I wasn't going fast enough because I wasn't riding the ass of the car in front of me in 15 mph traffic. He decided to get on the side of me and move over. Thankfully the people in the carpool lane saw what was happening and left me enough room to swerve over. I had room to speed up finally so I did and he moved over to the carpool lane and started screaming at me, waving something, not watching where he was going at all. I called 911 but by the time someone picked up (2 minutes on hold) he was long gone.

I'm the world's worst admin asst. I was asked to help cover our building's admin assist's lunch and, of course, I was not happy about that. So I'm answering phones and have no idea where or how to transfer anyone, so I just guessed. :D Then someone hands me something to fax. I just looked at them and pointed to the fax machine. 'Figure it out.' I said. Yeah, I'm picking up on this Boston thing really well...

No appetite today. Had less than a bowl of cereal this morning and am not even hungry for lunch. I'm also feeling the usual weakness I get when I don't eat. Now I have to decide what I'm going to force myself to eat. Sigh.

It's gonna be a low-key day.

I feel for you. I have not yet regained my appetite and doubt I ever will, and I all too often take the easy route and have some chocolate to raise my blood sugar levels. Getting off of sugar - or at least significantly reducing my intake - is proving to be challanging because I just don't want to eat.

I've taken to drinking Ensure. It makes me feel old, but it does the trick. I just have to drink it, it's palatable, and filled with a decent amount of nutrition.

Funny thing - I ended up having a decent lunch of soup and salad and eating all of it.

Was it a case of not being hungry until you found something that sounded sorta good? And then being hungry?

I had Chipotle tacos. Again. I was there Saturday night too. Their margaritas are amazing. Too bad you can't get one to go. ;)

I miss Poquito Mas in Burbank.
