Thanks guys. They didn't want me to come to the hospital because there was nothing for me to do (besides be driven crazy by my dad) so I spent last night completely freaking out at home. I talked to her about midnight and they still don't know what's wrong but she was feeling a bit better.

I went with Best Buy because that's where I was. I asked them to move my iTunes library to the external drive but it looks like they only copied it. :mad:
But they did do a cleanup for me and it runs faster. It was embarassing though because the laptop is such a mess, inside and outside. I felt like I brought my underwear drawer in and dumped it out on the counter.

I don't need 1TB, trust me. I'm just trying to get a little more life out of a 5-year old laptop with a 30G hard drive.

This is exactly why I don't want to take mine anywhere for service! Well, that and I can't afford to right now. I admire your courage for doing it and I'm glad it is running faster now. My laptop is 4 years old and runs S-L-O-W. It is also gargantuan and weighs as much as a small child.

Just finished taxes.

Suddenly buying a much needed replacement for CP's '94 Maxima doesn't look so daunting.

I'd prefer to not be getting back as much as we're getting, I'd rather have had that money earning interest for me, but it beats owing a ton, which is what's happened the last several years as our withholding was out of whack.

Odds are that the small additional amount in each check would be spent and not saved.

Also, with savings account interest rates at about .5-.75% and MMA's at around 1%, there isn't a lot of interest to be earned.

I would rather get a lump sum check, but I'm weird that way.
