I was out working the parade route. Hell of a week to finally receive the longer shifts both days, but I need the money (shrug)

I have to show up to ten rentals tomorrow in the 909,, and somehow be done in time for work. Again, long shift, in the sun.

Today was a fantastic day of good food, great companions and wonderful art. We bought few really great pieces that I can't wait to pic up. We also came home to find in the mail a wonderful charcoal drawing of Thurston gifted to me by someone on my pug board. I feel very satisfied, but exhausted from the heat.

Dear Morrigoon,

So let me get this straight:

You are renting yourself out to 10 clients in a 909-model R.V., and have to be done in time for work.

What sort of quality time is that for the punters? I hope you're not expecting repeat business, 'cos with that turnaround, they won't even be able to utter the words "Hey cutie, how's about..."

I suggest you invest in an inflatable love-doll, as she could service the dumber ones and halve your work effort by 50%.

Love and hugs,

The Stoat XXX.

Sorry- I was in dance-recital purgatory. After spending the morning biking around Camarillo and seeing "Kung Fu Panda".

I love art.

But I don't think I should buy any more for a little while! Reasonably-priced galleries. So tempting.

What a splendid day yesterday was! Great company... yummy food... affordable art... sweltering heat...

LSPoorEeyorick 06-22-2008 08:50 AM

Did you guys get anything at that last gallery? (I was glad to collapse in the air conditioning, dreaming of my romantic vampire...)

(And speaking of which, can you send me your cell-phone-pic of it?)

Here's wishing for cooler weather and good thoughts for those that need them. Okay so the cooler weather won't be happening anytime soon but at least I can hope for a good cool breeze for y'all every now and again so you don't die in your heavy dark clothing.

Yeah MP - can you just post a link to your pics of the day, since I never took my camera out to even take a pic of that fine neon sign.

Oh and yeah, more art was purchased - love affordable art...

Of course, last night the bedroom ceiling fan died which means an unplanned trip to Home Depot and a possible Art diet in our future.

Oh, my. In The Heights is exactly what I've been waiting for in this ten-year glut of musicals only adapted from films or existing music. It's beautiful! It won the Tony last Sunday.

Also it's created by another member of the Wesleyan Mafia (which also includes the creators of How I Met Your Mother, our very own Significant Chicken Productions and regrettably Michael Bay.)
